The nature of wetlands are defined and we look at the location of wetlands throughout the world. In addition, the video examines in detail a wetland area located next door to the site of the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games. Being surrounded by one of the world's major cities, the problems which have plagued Homebush Bay, as well as the solutions now being implemented, are typical of many wetland areas worldwide.
